Yesterday I was going through some old audio files, “cleaning house” to make space and I came across this one. Five seconds into the recording and it was like I was right back there again. Back in the states at my kitchen table with my best friend from high school, drinking cold beer, downing shots of tequila and making music. Halfway through our 4-hour session, we were really in the groove and started playing this song. Walter’s harmony is SPOT ON and I decided we needed to record this! It’s certainly not the highest quality recording we’ve ever made, but I think it’s one of my favorites because it’s “real”. No backing tracks or sophisticated effects. Just two friends and their guitars (and a bottle of tequila), having fun. For me, this is what it all about!
This was never one of my favorite songs, but I must admit that I loved this version of it. You guys did a super job…and, yes, the harmony is great! Thanks for posting this. Keep up the good work!
I can tell you guys were having a blast on this one. Nothing wrong with the recording on this. Liquid refreshment is always a bonus when playing guitars together and it shows here. Well done guys, I like it!
